A beautiful type of pattern that can be used with many wearable items, handbags, mobile phone cover, etc... for myself  I've used it as a front side for my mobile phone.  You first need to have a base of 17 stitches. If you're starting  with this pattern, you need to start with Ch17.     All Rows begin with ch 3 for 1st dc              Row 1   1 dc on each st. Turn         Row 2    2 dc on next 2 dc. Ch6. Skip next 5 dc. slst  on next dc. Ch6. Skip next 5 dc. 1 dc on each of next 3 sts.          Rows 3-5   2 dc on next 2 dc. C13. 3 dc on next 3 dc. Now you have 3 ( 13 ch cords)            Row 6   2 dc on next 2 dc. Ch 6.* Insert hook around the three cords from right side to wrong one. YO. Sc.               * Repeat bet*....* once more. Ch6. 3 dc on last 3dc. Fasten off       Row 6
